| Evolution or Creation?
In 2011 we hosted an event featuring the talk below with Professor Andy McIntosh - we had a great time and a number of members of the public not associated with the church found the time really useful and said 'you must do this again'. We are now organising meetings for August 2012 including lectures & debates focused around evolution & Atheism.
Professor McIntosh argues from science that the Biblical creation account is perfectly consistent with empirical observational science and a far more credible and coherent explanation of the scientific facts than evolutionary philosophy. What we really need is a qualified individual to present the case for evolution in a public debate. Professor Dawkins if you're free you'd be most welcome sir, but anyone from any qualified seat of learning who has legitimate expertise in palaeontology or related science able to develop the central arguments of evolution is encouraged to take up the challenge to debate with Professor McIntosh in a properly chaired public debate.
One would think there'd be no shortage of such learned applicants yet evolution seems short on those able to defend it in a matched debate. However if you are such a person we'd love to hear from you or if you know of a colleague who can then please contact us! Science is by definition exploratory - help the public explore this popular issue!
